It’s crazy, four months have gone already!
It’s crazy, four months have gone already!
In my time at Bolivia Digna I have been responsible for the sport project which i have been really happy for. I have had a lot of freedom to do what I wanted to do with the kids and youngsters.
My first period here , before 2017, I was training the kids in football. It was really cool to try making a plan for the training, to be able to improve their skills as much as possible, but also hard and difficult sometimes because of my limited spanish level. Luckily sports sports doesn’t always need a lot of language, so it worked out and the kids and me have had a lot of fun.
Through my volunteering here I have learned a lot of personally and I have a lot of experience to move on with.
It’s so cool to see how the kids are so happy and having so much fun with each other without having material things and a lot of money as other have – inspiring!
Being in the BD-Team has been a pleasure both with the international and Bolivian volunteers and workers. The Bolivians are not boring, so there have been many jokes and many laughs. When I go home to little Denmark, I am sure I want to continue coaching in sports as I have done in Bolivia.
Living in Cochabamba has been chaotic because of so many people living in the city, but also because of all the cars and transport. But that doesn’t take away all the great experiences and memories. I have got here and moreover all the people i have met which i now can call friends.
Also it has been amazing to see and experience a totally different culture and try working in a new country. Living with a host family has been a good, but also different experience. For me they quickly became a “real” family to me, which has been really comfortable when you live so far away from home.
Almost every day has been filled with action or something to do, and for me it has been one of the great things traveling and living in Bolivia, sometimes I have had more fun in a weekday, than a weekend that tells something about it. ;)
I am very grateful for all the good things and the people I have met on this travel.
Thank to the BD-crew for our work together. Thanks for your kindness and support.
Good luck with your work in the future. I hope and wish the best to all the kids and people you are helping.
Ciao!
La buena vida!
